Dyed by hand in New York City.

In 2016, one of my favorite sweatshirts got a very bad oil stain on it. Instead of throwing it out, I decided to tie-dye it, drawing on muscle memory from my days tie-dyeing at day camp as a kid. The process was simple, and I just loved the end result. It looked so good, I was inspired to dye other forgotten clothes in my closet, from silk blouses to socks to sweatpants, to give them a second life.

My friends started to ask me about where I got my new wardrobe, and began commissioning me to tie-dye items for them, both old and new. I’ve been tie-dyeing ever since.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does “dyed to order” mean?

All orders are tie-dyed once they have been ordered; this is to ensure that all pieces are one of a kind, and dyed with the color combinations you want.

How long will my order take?

Orders can take anywhere from 5-10 days from start to finish, depending upon the number of items, and the item itself that you have ordered.

Do you accept refunds?

Unfortunately, no. All items are final sale, as they have been dyed to order.

Has the fabric been treated to prevent the dye from bleeding?

Yes! All pieces are treated with a dye fixative.

How should I care for my Tiño Sabi tie-dye?

I highly recommend washing it once or twice solo, or with items you don’t care that much about, just in case the dye bleeds (but it shouldn’t). Cold water is best, and detergent is ok to use! Dry on low heat to prevent shrinkage.

What colors do you recommend?

I recommend a mix of dark and light colors. Please note I don’t dye with beige, brown or black colors.

Can I request a pattern?

Unfortunately, no. All clothing will feature my signature blob patterns, whereas some home goods may feature a different design. It is up to my discretion.

What type of dye do you use?

I use Procion MX dye, a cold water dye, but sometimes I use RIT dye.

How many colors can I pick?

Please choose up to 3-5 different colors; please note that the colors may bleed and mix together during the dying process, which is something I cannot control. With that said. please specify your color preferences in the order notes section.

If you are ordering a rainbow color combo, please specify in the order notes section.

Are the items unisex?

Yes, all items are unisex.
